What is the difference between the Ultra Compression Leg Sleeves (item #6057) and the original Zensah Compression Leg Sleeves (item #6055)?

The Ultra Compression Leg Sleeves were designed for those seeking a tighter fitting compression sleeve as compared to our original Zensah Compression Leg Sleeves. Those new to compression may prefer the original Zensah Compression Leg Sleeves, as they provide a snug fit and comfort for hours.


Developed by a professional athletic trainer and using a special knitting process and fabric unique to them, Zensah has developed the best compression leg sleeves on the market. The leg sleeves, which are great for shin splits and/or calf compression, are made with gradient compression, providing tight ribbing in the back for calf support and wide ribbing in the front for shin support.

Like all Zensah products they are made from the famouse Zensah Fabric which means each pair of leg sleeves has silver ions to regulate and maintain skin temperature and fight bacteria and odour.  The lower leg compression sleeves are intended to be worn for training or recovery with a view to increasing oxygen blood flow to the muscles of the lower leg. Muscles faster with the more oxygen the muscles receive, allowing athletes to train at a greater intensity. The compression leg sleeves are ideal for runners, cyclists, triathletes and anyone else who is training on their feet.

These Calf Compression/Shin Splint Leg Sleeves are sold in pairs.

SIZING

When choosing a size, calf size should be used as the primary determinant. We list height for those who do not know their calf size. 


Small: Calf Size: 9.5" - 12.5" or Height: 5'3" and below
Medium: Calf Size: 12.5" - 15" or Height: 5'4" - 5'10"
Large: Calf Size: 15" and up or Height: 5'11" and up

I used these on the hilly and demanding IM Wales, they feel more comfortable and natural than other calf gaurds I have tried, you forget you are wearing them, yet throughout the race my calfs stayed in good shape.
